FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT TIME DO DOORS OPEN?
4:00pm on Friday, Sep 22 | 2:30pm on Saturday, Sep 23
WHAT IS THE VENUE LIKE?
Maybe we're biased, but we think RiversEdge Amphitheater is one of the best venues to watch a show in the greater Cincinnati area. It is a grass amphitheater bowl. There are no permanent/fixed seats in the entire venue. It's large enough to host rock concerts, but no so big that you'll have to watch the entire show on a video screen from a mile away. There's really not a bad vantage point in the entire venue and all of our staff members are volunteers and ambassadors for the City of Hamilton...they're helping out with this event because they want to be here, they love live music and they love the City of Hamilton. They will be happy to help you with any questions you may have while you're here.
WILL THERE BE FOOD VENDORS?
Yes. Food vendors are located on the street immediately outside the amphitheater. This is why we allow re-entry to the venue with proper wristband identification.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Refunds will be issued up to fourteen (14) days before the event begins. Other refund requests addressed on a case-by-case basis. Big River Get Down is a rain or shine event.
ARE THERE BEVERAGES ON-SITE?
Yes. There will be a variety of beer, liquor, mixed drinks, soda, and bottled water. Prices vary on other beverages.
CAN I SET UP A TENT AND SELL MERCHANDISE?
NO. The only merchandise permitted to be sold at the event is festival-related merchandise and band merchandise. There are numerous small businesses in Hamilton. We encourage you to support our local merchants during your time in Hamilton.
IS RIVERSEDGE AMPHITHEATER ADA ACCESSIBLE?
YES. There is a flat concrete path surrounding the top of the amphitheater bowl. There are no stairs to traverse upon entry. There is also a flat concrete area at the top of the amphitheater bowl for wheelchair accessible viewing. The amphitheater bowl is grass and has a very gradual slope, which may be suitable for wheelchair access depending on individual circumstances. The stageside VIP DECK is also wheelchair accessible with no steps to traverse. The stagefront VIP viewing area will require special accommodations for wheelchair access, please contact us for additional details.
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE VENUE?
Amphitheater capacity is 3,000 people. Capacity of the VIP area is 250 people.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
RiversEdge Amphitheater does not have a dedicated parking lot. There is on-street parking surrounding the amphitheater -- PLEASE ADHERE TO POSTED PARKING RULES. There is a parking garage located approximately one block from the amphitheater. The entrance to the parking garage is located at 113 North 2nd Street, Hamilton, OH 45011. There is another parking garage located approximately three blocks from the amphitheater. The entrance to this garage is located near 311 Court Street, Hamilton, OH 45011.
CAN I BRING A LAWN CHAIR?
Yes, as space permits. Please be advised that if/when the amphitheater reaches capacity, there may not be space available for lawn chairs...especially as the event moves later into the evening. If/When the amphitheater becomes more crowded, we recommend moving lawn chairs towards the top of the amphitheater bowl as the area nearest to the stage will likely be filled with people who are standing making it difficult for seated viewing. Please be considerate, we want everyone to have a good time, but this is a rock concert, so expect people to stand and dance. As a reminder, we do allow re-entry to the venue, so you can always take your lawn chair to the car...there are 30 minutes between each of the band performances.
WHERE CAN I STAY? WHAT HOTELS ARE AVAILABLE?
